Conference Venue

The conference will take place in the historic main building of the University of Hamburg, and workshops will be in the surrounding modern buildings. The site is across from Dammtor train station, and within walking distance from the Alster lake and the town center. Hamburg Airport is well connected with all major cities in the world. A plan of the site and traffic information will be posted here soon.

 Local Attractions

Located on the Elbe and Alster rivers and close to both the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, Hamburg has the largest port in Germany and is called the city on the water (European Green Capital 2011). Home to 1.8 million people, it is the industrial and cultural center of Northern Germany and the Baltic area. A popular tourist destination, Hamburg is famous for its quality of life and offers all attractions of a modern metropolis.
